[ in his time in the fog, jeff's become somewhat of a light sleeper, but something about being in a real bed, warm and comfortable and cuddled up close with someone makes him nearly dead (ha) the world. the couple of hours he manages to sleep for are probably some of the best he's had in a long-ass time, and he doesn't wake once. not until david noses at his hair anyway, as gentle as it is.
jeff breathes in deep though his nose, a little sharper than usual, gently startled awake. he tenses briefly; it takes him a couple of seconds of bleary blinking into the side of david's neck to piece together where he is and who he's with, and when it all clicks into place, he relaxes again with a soft exhale. he slides his hand up david's side, drags it back down. ]
Mn. Okay?
[ his voice is low and rough with sleep, but there's tiny thread of concern laced into his tone, like he's worried david might have been woken by something, and they need to get up and go, instead of waking naturally. he has no idea how long its been, but honestly, he's just surprised they're not waking up in a pool of blood or worse. ]
