[ whatever's going on in david's head, evan's let him be. no point in getting on his case about it when he's made it very clear he doesn't want to talk about it. even if he wants to try and figure out why he got so bent out of shape, why something that small would make him so damn angry, he knows he's not going to get an answer that easily. besides, it's not in his nature to poke and prod at people's thoughts, at least not often.
but other people are always about that shit, and one certain other person has been a thorn in his side lately. ghost face is always a problem, but in the span of time between the last time he and david spoke, it seems like he's seen a shadow in the corner of his eye more often than usual. someone's been going through his workshop. someone's been rifling through his designs. someone moved the rope he left coiled by the barely-used bedroom doorway.
maybe he's just noticing it more than usual with his own frustration building to a point. regardless, he's pissed off, and when he's out patrolling he sees ghost face watching someone in the near distance. not him. it's enough to make the fury boil over, and he makes his way toward the shadow, not bothering to see what unfortunate bastard has the fucker's attention this time.
of course, he's not quiet, and ghost face hears him before he's anywhere near close enough to attack. but he doesn't bolt, either, instead opting to try and find other shadows to disappear into, even if it makes his presence to his previous target immediate and obvious.
the entity must be watching, though. even if evan doesn't realize it just yet. ]
